Welcome from our Headmaster

Dear Students and Parents,

It is my great privilege to serve as the first principal of Valley Christian Academy. I am humbled and honored to be a part of this work of God that will undoubtedly impact many for eternity, and I am so excited to see what this year holds.

I have twelve years of experience in education with a Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and English from Tennessee Wesleyan College. I am married to Michael Moody, a McMinn County native, and we have three children, Camryn, Carson, and Braden.

The vision of Valley Christian Academy is to provide our children with a biblically-based education, providing a distinctively Christian lens through which to view all of life. We adhere to the biblical mandate that the education of our children is ultimately the responsibility of the parents, and we look forward to a close partnership with you throughout the year. I believe the academic and spiritual growth of our children will be accelerated beyond imagination when home, school, and church are working in unison.

It is my prayer that each child who walks the halls of this institution will reach the unique potential God has designed for his or her life. We have prayerfully selected teachers who will challenge, affirm, and support our students. With a school-wide emphasis on the core values of Discipleship, Excellence, and Integrity, we will prepare students intellectually and spiritually to become leaders for Christ in our community.

I look forward to an outstanding school year and to getting to know each of you.

Sincerely,

Dana L. Moody
