Valley Christian Academy
The Right Time & The Right Place

Valley Christian Academy is the result of decades of prayer, planning and providential timing. The Book of Ecclesiastes say, “For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1). On August 24, 2017, VCA opened its doors for the first full day of school. The academy began with grades Kindergarten-Fifth. All the teachers are educated and trained to teach, but more importantly, each teacher is a committed follower of Jesus Christ and devoted to teaching all of their students from a distinctively Christian worldview.

Eastanallee Baptist Church began shortly after the War of 1812 ended, in 1819. The church has been blessed by God like few others in the entire Tennessee Valley. Many in the church have discussed the need for a “Christian School” but for various reasons the timing was just not right or the key players not in place. At the annual church conference August 28, 2016, Eastanallee Baptist Church voted to start Valley Christian Academy in 2017.

Valley Christian Academy was founded to provide families with an alternative in education that will place the teachings of Christ in a Christian home, teachings in the Church, and teachings in the School all in harmony. The educational setting is a primary influencer of children. The average child will spend approximately 16,000 hours in the classroom between ages 5-18 versus 1,600 hours in church at averaging 2 ½ hours per week during that same age period. The place and people whom we as parents choose to partner with to educate our children may be the most important decision we make in our children’s formative years and for life. The Book of Proverbs says, “The fear of God (Giving God His rightful place) is the beginning of Knowledge…” (Proverbs 1:7). Valley is created to offer a well-rounded, balanced education where children can learn in a safe, loving, encouraging atmosphere.
