History of Valley Christian Academy

in the beginning

Valley Christian Academy is the result of decades of prayer, planning, and providential timing. On August 24, 2017, VCA opened its doors for the first full day of school with 43 students enrolled, Grades Kindergarten through 5th.

According to our vision of academic excellence, it was and is imperative that VCA teaching staff be certified and highly qualified. Furthermore, every teacher from the inception of VCA is a committed follower of Jesus Christ, devoted to educating students from a distinctively Christian worldview.

Valley Christian Academy was founded by Eastanallee Baptist Church to provide families with an alternative in education that will place the teachings of the school in harmony with teachings of Christ in a Christian home, and teachings in the church. VCA is housed at Eastanallee Baptist Church in Riceville, TN.

How the vca vision WAS BORN

Valley Christian Academy’s vision is to partner with parents and caregivers to educate children with a well-rounded, balanced education in a safe, loving, encouraging atmosphere. Because of the amount of time a child will spend at school, the educational setting is a primary influencer of children. With this in mind, the vision of Valley Christian Academy was developed. The average child will spend approximately 16,000 hours in the classroom between ages 5-18. Therefore, we at VCA understand that choosing the appropriate school for a child may be the most important decision a parent makes in their children’s formative years to build a foundation for life.

The Book of Proverbs says, “The fear of God (giving God His rightful place) is the beginning of Knowledge…” (Proverbs 1:7). At Valley Christian Academy, we believe that elevating God to His rightful place in education will yield disciples who will strive to be Christ-like and fulfill their God-given mission in life. Additionally, they will have the knowledge and the critical-thinking skills to achieve all of their God-given goals.
